Prodisc media with MCC code...

Has anyone else seen media being sold as Prodisc 4x DVD-Rs, but it has an MCC 4x DVD-R code on it?
I'm looking for answers on why this is happening, and so far I don't have too many.... just a lot of questions

Which media would you guys recommend for a NEC 2510?
Prodisc 8X DVD-R for $48
or
Ritek Ridata 8X DVD-R G05 $58-$10=$48

Why not bitsetting + media like ricohjpnr01 that can burn at 8x in your burner. $49 for 100.

im loving the switch to prodisc dvd-r 8x hub printable
if you ask me media printing is the most efficient way of labeling stuff
also looks tons better then sharpie, p-touching, stick on print labels

From Newegg?
I already have some RiDATA ricohjpnr01 +4x from Newegg that I bought for $44. The 4X ricohjpnr01 RiDATA's will only have write at 6X with my burner. I just wanted to write at 8X.
I don't need to bit set as my DVD player plays + disc just fine.
The new question is who has better quality disc?
Richo, Prodisc/MMC, or Ritekg05.

well if you start doing what i do you'll want to used the most compatible method of burning
why do you think it took me so long to switch to 8x burning after I bought my pioneer 107, i wanted to burn the most compatible discs for other people

Bah...other people don't concern me :lol:
Actually though my brother's generation 1 PS2 plays DVD+R disc just fine . It's kinda funny because only the newer PS2s are supposed to have that ability. I would test it on my gen 1 PS2, but I killed it a while back after modding, unmodding, modding, etc.

Mitsubishi CD-Rs are now showing up as Prodiscs...

That's interesting. Just the other day, someone was e-mailing me telling me how well the MCC strats worked for Prodisc media on the LiteOn drives...
