Can Pioneer DVR-108 uses DVR-A08XLA firmware?

Anyone know?

Since the drives are the same, but the DVR-108 firmware won't allow me to use the Quiet Drive Utilities from Pioneer.

No you cannot use the XL FW on the standard drive
