Picked up spindles of Fuji 8x media tonight at a local Fry's Electronics store.

8x DVD-R media was FUJIFILM03 media id code, manufactured in Taiwan.

8x DVD+R media was YUDEN000T02 media id code, manufactured in Japan.

I was quite surprised to see that the Fuji 25 and 50 packs were both made in Japan. I haven't ever seen Fuji do TY media on spindles, only jewel cases.

Both also have no stacking rings, for those interested in that kinda thing.

I also saw the +r made-in-Japan Fuji's at Fry's. I was a little surprised at the price: $15.00 after a $5.00 rebate for a spindle of 25. Not bad for Fry's.

Yeah, especially since they were on sale for $17.99 making them $12.99 after rebate.

Or 58 cents per disc for TY media. :)

Interestingly, the regular prices listed were $19.99 for 25 pack Fuji 8x DVD+R and $24.99 for 25 pack Fuji 8x DVD-R. Not sure why the +R was $5 more.

I ended up buying 1 of each (even though the DVD-R didn't have a rebate) because Fuji DVD-R usually has no stacking ring. Turns out both DVD-R and DVD+R didn't have a stacking ring.
