Well 22mn10s compared to the TDK1616 times in 4X (22mn51s here ) it's not a big evolution...

Maybe ISO image were a bit different in size, but...

Their test image is only 6.86GB in size. That's quite a bit smaller than 7.96GB or whatever.

I REALLY like the 5X DL capability!

It apparently writes DVD+R at 12X in a shorter time than most burners at 16X!!!!!

The downside is that it doesn't write much faster at 16X than 12X, if at all.
It wrote a Benq DVD+R disc at 16X in the same time (5:52).

Might be OK if Toshiba had a reputation for updating firmware...

Have Toshiba's been known in the past for fast ripping?
