That is sad that it doesn't burnt at 8x. Does anyone know why Pioneer hasn't fixed it yet?

Ok, I am confused, which is easy to do. I see this new firmware update and I am not sure which one to use. The box for my Pioneer says DVR-A07XLB, but when it is viewed in Device Manager it is listed as a DVR-107D. So which firmware do I use?
Thanks,
Lon

use the a07xl firmware, whatever you do, do not use the 107 firmware
again use this firmware:

ill let someone explain why it shows up at a dvr-107 and not a a07xl drive in windows, but regardless you do have the a07xl model

It's exactly the same as the official one. It just links to the japan english site instead of the europe site.
You can get the official firmware from here
http://wwwbsc.pioneer.co.jp/product-e/i ... dev_e.html
or here
http://www.pioneer-eur.com/eur/support_ ... fdvdwriter
Just make sure you get the DVR-A07XLA/XLB file since you have a DVR-A07XLB.
