Problem reading data burned with Pioneer 107D/Nero on DVDRs

Hi all.
I got a problem and was wondering if somebody could help me out.

I have a Pioneer 107D DVD writer. I’ve updated the firmware to unofficial version (forget the actual number) to be able to write at 8X, got Rihtec 4x media which happily works at 8x. I use Nero 6 to burn.

I’ve backed up DVDs with no problem.
Burned a few data DVDs with no problem either.

Here’s the problem.
If I try burning some files on a disk w/o closing the session I cannot read them when the process is done. (It does finish successfully w/o errors)
Further, if I try to add more stuff later on and finalize the disk in Nero – it doesn’t work. I get some weird “Cannot write disk at once” error.

One peculiar thing is that in Nero, after I import the session I can see the previous content I wrote. So looks like the data is being written correctly to the disk, but for some reason Windows cannot read it. #-o

Anybody has any ideas on what’s happening??
Thanks a lot in advance.

what version of Nero are you using? try updating to the latest version if you have a older one.

Thanks for the help! 8)

I've upgraded to the latest version and new DVDRs seem to be working fine.

I still, however, cannot retrieve the info previously burned.
Is there any way to read that data or is it lost??
Thanks.
