I have the follow configuration:
Duron 700@933MHz, 256MB sdram, IBM DTLA 30GB ATA100 and Plextor 712
I noticed i can't burn DVD-R a more than 6X!
How I can increase the burn rate without changing my old pc?

the above link is the basic requirements for the 712a.
your cpu is too slow to have it burn faster than 6x speed. the best bet for you would to just burn 4x speed if you don't want to upgrade to a faster cpu.
