I recently upgraded my system to include a benq dvd dd dw1620 Burner and it has been installed with Record Now deluxe software.

My problem is I have attempted to burn a dual layer Dvd after first creating an image of it using record now and then I am choosing Create cd from Image and adding a blank 4.7g dvd to which it says I need to add a blank Dvd 9 dvd ??? .. I know there are dual layer blanks available but they are very expensive so is there any way around this.

can I burn the created image onto normal blank dvd's and if so how ?

Is it possible my dvd burner is not dual layer comparable even though I was told it was ?

can you help out this new wood duck ? ;)

coded,
I am assuming you want to burn a movie. If so then your movie appears to be too big for a regular 4.7 GB. In order to fit the movie onto a single layer blank you should get DVD Shrink (it's freeware) which will enable you to shrink the size of the movie to the size of a SL blank - there are many tutorials how this software works on the net - go to, for example, www.videohelp.com or www.cdfreaks.com. If the movie is CSS protected you'll need, also dvddecrypter - again this is freeware and there are lots of tutorials on how this software works which you can find on the net.
I hope this helps

No, actually, DVDShrink is all you need. But if you do decide to burn DL media, DVDDecryptor is the way to go, using ISO mode.
