It is obvious that all of your drives(HD, CD/DVD-ROM & DVD/CD Writers) must be set in DMA mode, mainly your Hard Drives will be in UDMA (5,or 6) and the rest in DMA(2) mode. Therefore there will be no adverse effect in their performance.
