716UF's TLA # @ Plexshop

Anyone knows what is the TLA number of 716UF @ Plextor Online Shop?

I want to order it, but i don't think i'll order a 0101 :-?

And what's the deal with the colors units now? only color faceplates? what happened there? Colors dont sell?

is tla 0202 all fine? I just received my px-716sa today and it's a 0202. Going to put it in tonight.

well.. they say that TLA 0202 with firmware 1.03 is good for daily burns..
i want to make sure they're shipping 0202.. guess i'll have to ask them directly..

Did you connect serial ata or use the provided adapter for serial ata to ata connection?

Did you receive a black face plate as well in the box?

Whats so bad about the TLA 0101 cant you update the firmware on it, and be the same thing as the tla 2. Will there be tla 3 soon or something.

You can update the firmware on it to version 1.03 which will essentially make it TLA 0103, but you cannot update the hardware revision, so it will never be the same as one with TLA 0202 or 0203.

I just received my 716A back from Plextor and they sent me TLA #0102, which is still problematic!

BTW, PX-716SA is back in stock at Buy.com for those interested!

Fry's has good inventory of PX-716A @$149 (SoCal)

PC Connection had a too good to be true year end promo for PX-716A (as well as Sony, NEC and Kanguru DVDRW's 16X)
