Hello guys
This is my 1st time here
I hope i'm posting in right forum and if not im sorry.
I'm having problems burning dvd's with my new plextor.
The fastest i can burn is 2.4x-2.5x maximum.
I'm using windows XP SP2,Asus P4C800-E deluxe mobo and latest firmware from plextor.
Also using IDE2 channel with plextor ONLY on it. (jumper set master,even if jumper is not there its not gonna help)
I tryed Dvddecrypter,Nero6 ultra edition and always same result.DL is not "enabled".
blank media what i do use are TDK DVD-R 8x,Verbatim+R 8X and Verbatim DVD+R 16x and Princo DVD-R 4x.
I cant get past 2.5x speed.
Anyone can tell me what am i doing wrong ?

first thing: make sure DMA is enabled.

you was right ..i was in PIO mode ..i enabled it and im still in PIO mode ...so i just uninstalled IDE2 and i cant get it back,its some stupid conflict or is it just stupid me ? Propably heh
If anyone know how can i get back my IDE2 channel let me know,im looking for drivers for my mobo right now hope it helps
