Hyundai 4x DVD-R on NEC 1300A?

Hello,
I am tempted by the price of these Hyundai 4x DVD-R:
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products ... _uid=83158

I would like to use those with my NEC 1300A firmware Herry 1.0Ctest2 (latest available on 20 Feb 2005).

1) Can anyone tell me if these are sufficient? (no need for good quality; just cheap backups)

2) Also has anyone other reccomendations for cheap DVD-R media in UK (all the hot deals you propose seem to be in USA)? I tend to burn at 2x all the time so 4x media are great for me.

Thanks

Hyundai media is almost universally recognized as some of the worst media around. They are also known for selling fake TY media and various other questionable practices. Also please note that with -R in particular, burning at 2x on 4x media can sometimes result in inferior burn quality.
Suggest finding some Ritek 4x and burning it at 4x if you want cheap -R. But even CMC or prodisc might work well on that drive.

Hello!

I don´t have a NEC 1300, but the CMC Magn. works in many burners (like Pioneer, NEC 3500 and Benq) very well.

I had Hyundai-media DVD-R 4x from Infosmart, there are crappy discs, stay away from that.

Here's a thread you can look at for Hyundai Media scans:

Hyundai media is almost universally recognized as some of the worst media around.

Not only that, but, have you ever driven around in one?

They do tend to break down a lot less than that General Motors crap everyone seems to buy though
