For anyone interested, Taiyo Yuden's 16x DVD-Rs are now available from Meritline.... and for those of you who like to buy from online stores that AREN'T crooks, other places will likely be carrying them at the end of the week after next. Why do I say that? because my order will probably be shipping to me around the end of next week or shortly thereafter :D

Expect them to be included in the new reviews, starting with the one AFTER the one I'm working on now :P

Oddly enough, no release date is yet available for Taiyo Yuden's 16x DVD+Rs.

This may sound like an odd question... but why go -R these days? +R quality and compatibility seems to be pretty good. Only reason I can think of is for consoles.

I have had too many problems with compatability with friends DVD players on DVD+R even with Bitsetting... not just PS2's either.

Ian, I love you man, but a pay-per-click? CDR-Labs must really be in debt...

I use mostly DVD-R. If you buy a good brand, the DVD-R are very good, I don´t can say that DVD+R is better.

And never had a problem with the compatibility of DVD-R :)
