Can you "Overburn" a 'Verbatim 8x DVD-R' by 14MB ?

Hi all,

This may be an obvious question, but can you "Over-Burn" a
"Verbatim 8x DVD-R" by 14MB ??

ie. 4483 + 14 = 4497 MB TOTAL

.. I forgot to add that I need to know the aswer to this Q ASAP ;)

I guess in general, CAN you overburn a DVD & by how much ?

ie. anyone have first hand experience ??

Yes and it depends on the media and drive. What drive are you going to do this with?

Drive: LG GSA-4163B - 16x Super-Multi DVD±RW/RAM

Media: Verbatim 8x DVD-R

Sorry, that drive doesn't support DVD overburning.

@Ian, which drives support DVD overburning?

Off the top of my head... the PX-716A can. However its limited to DVD+R media.
