What's wrong with this DVD+R DL disc? PX-716 problem ?

Hello there,
I just burnt this DVD+R DL disc with nero and as always I had the option to verify the disc on. However, i got some errors during the verification so I run a PI/PO test with the plextools. Here's the snapshot:

The disc is branded RiDisc with 2.4 Speed.
Plextor recognized it as max burn speed 4X, however I burnt it at 2.4 just to be sure. What should I do with the disc? How can I find out if its still usable without actually watching the movie?
I'm asking cause it's the second coaster and each one of these discs costs £3 so I don't wanna be wasting £6 for nothing.

thanks,
latebeat

That thing has Parity Outer Failures. It's pretty much a coaster. If I were you I'd try to get a refund for those discs; Ritek DL doesn't seem to be very good quality.

I was thinking MAYBE my stand alone DVD-player could read the disc :(
I don't know but my plextor PX-716A doesn't like Ritek media at ALL. I must have burned more than 15 8X DVD-R Ritek coasters out of a 50 disc spindle and now this. I was thinking that their DL layers would be better but I was wrong. On the other hand it may just be that PX-716A doesn't like RITEKs, I don't know. The thing is that all other DL media cost £5 each which is just to much.

Part of the problem is that Ritek is starting to suck more and more... they have really crappy quality control.

The thing is when first bought my PX-716A I started with a spindle of 50 8X Ritek DVD+R and got no errors not at all not even a single coaster plus I got them really cheap.
The thing is I never buy non-printable discs any more and the good thing about Riteks is that their printable surface is really top noch. Same as good as Verbatim's photo printable and perhaps slightly better. It's a shame that such good discs took a downfall.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The company I work for made it a policy to ONLY do inkjet printing on Ritek inkjet printable to the hub 8x DVD-Rs. And then messed up their quality control, and did some other nasty things to my workplace....

Now we use Taiyo Yuden, Maxell, and Acro Circle inkjet printables... they may not be as nice looking, but the discs work. And yes, we have had more consistant good quality results with even Acro Circle then we have with Ritek :o
