Strange, I found nothing about the 110 at Pioneer Japan

There's no official info yet. Like Plextor, they announce it when its ready. I'm guessing these specs were from Zebra (DVDInfoPro guy) since he's been posting screenshots of the DVR-110.

Personally, I'll be waiting for the official press release before I get too excited. More often than not, these "rumored" specs are not 100% correct.

Do you mean not 100% correct?

Hardly exciting, unless you really have a burning need to write DVD-RAM....

I use DVD-RAM with my LG 4082. I backup important data using RAM.

I'm not having much luck comparing the LG-416sb (been out several months) with this drive; they both seem very similar to each other. What's the difference? Thanks

416sb? DonĀ“t know this drive, LG uses 4 Numbers for the model-number

Compare the specs to those from our review: http://www.cdrlabs.com/reviews/index.ph ... e=Features

Were all of your 10,000 posts referring people to other locations? I had said I was having problems comparing the two together.

Sigh.. here are the differencs. First column is the LG.. second the Pioneer.

DVD+R DL Write: 4x | 8x
DVD-R DL Write: not supported | 8x
DVD-RAM Write: 5x P-CAV | 5x Z-CLV
CD-RW Write: 24x | 32x

Clear enough?

P-CAV for DVD-RAM writing! That should be good for speed!!

A better comparison however, would be with the LG GSA-4165B.

Actually, I swapped em. The LG uses P-CAV.

Yeah, you're right. The 4165B would be a better comparison.

Yes, it was. I toiled for a total of 3 minutes, putting together that comparison using the links already provided in the thread.

there's a difference between spoonfeeding and helping, as Ian has illustrated. ;)

Ian! This is cheap! I am thinking of getting this as a new toy! Maybe pull my AOPEN 1616 for awhile!

Any words of warning?

Damn.. If I didn't already have a few 109 clones I would have to pick one of those up. Warning? Stick to your AOpen for ripping DVD movies.

Something of a problem you have with your attitude there. It's amazing Ian gets to help out at all these days with all that drool messing up his keyboard.
