I think your attitude problem is misdirected by yourself, the moderator and another. He apparently has had a lot of time on his hands to make 10,000 posts. My point is its pretty snobbish and rude to redirect someone when that someone has already said they have tried, to no avail and need a little more help.

95% of these posts are back and forth trivial bantering and some of you choose to put on some type of geeky attitude to newcomers by directing them to a search. That's snobbish and rude. Come down off your p-cav and z-cav pedestals and try helping people out when they have said they have looked and cannot find answers and are coming to you for further help.

my my, we haven't had such a rude newcomer to these forums in quite a while!

you come here asking for help. the very least you can do is say thank you when you've been given it.

you are quite eloquent. i'm sure your reading skills are just as good as your writing skills.
you've been given a link to a page that contains the features of the LG drive. the first post on the topic linked to a pages with the Pioneers features. it takes a little time, yes, but not too much, to read both pages carefully, compare them and find the differing characteristics.

no, he does not have a lot of time on his hands (and he took from what little time he has to help you). actually he has very little. and those 10,000 posts, many of which were for helping others, were accumulated over a long time.
and no, all of Ian's 10,000 posts are not refferals to other links.

no, 95% of these posts are not trivial bantering. when you've read a decent percentage of the posts then you can come and make such claims. i very much doubt you've read 1% of Ian's posts.
as for redirecting to a search, well, that's common practice on bulletin boards. however selfish people like yourself don't value others' time. they want to be given the answers to their questions immediately with no effort of their own - why should they if others will do it for them?

if you think Ian's attitude towards you was snobbish and rude, i can only say that i think your judgement is very poor.
but my personal opinion is that your are rude, selfish, ungrateful, belligerent.
one thing for sure, you'll be getting no help from me in the future.

Why should Ian write a long thread when the technical specs say all? I´m not a real expert for all hardware-questions but I only need a little little time to answer the questions when I look on the spec´s-pages.

I don´t think with your small acknowledge you can say what is a trivial answer from Ian, because you don´t know that

In the past Ian helped me and a lot of the useers here with his acknowledge

47$ = 37,09 €

About £28+sales tax here, or $51, and that's considered a bargain.
