Trouble on changing regions on NEC ND2510

It shows 'available changes=5'.

Everytime I try to change the region code of the burner (remember: 5 changes available) it reads "administrator privileges required. You don´t have such a privilege..."

Windows XP Professional SP1. I open session as an administrator.

I have got dual boot on my machine. The other system is 2000 Server. Exactly the same happens.

On the other side, every time I feed the recorder either with a CDROM, a DVD +/-R, DVD5 or DVD9.

Any clues about what is going on?

Thanks in advance...

Sorry, this is to correct a mistyping of the first post.

It should read:

"On the other side, every time I feed the recorder either with a CDROM, a DVD +/-R, DVD5 or DVD9 THE SYSTEM FREEZES (ONLY UNDER WIN XP)"

Any clues about what is going on?
