Windows Explorer not refreshing DVD's - FIXED

Hey all
My windows explorer is messed up because it will not refresh the listing of folders and files of discs inside my optical dvd drives.
More specifically, the folder and file listing shown when i put in a different disc is of the last disc, and the contents of the current disc inside the drive is not shown.
Also, the drive name shown in windows explorer, DVD-RW Drive (I:), remains persistent. It doesn't change to display the disc name like it would before.

I've searched this forum and the most I could find in the auto-insert registry edit, which I did but still no difference.
I have a NEC 3520 and LG 4082, and it happens on both, so I doubt it's hardware. I also tried unintstalling the drives and reinstalling it.

I have tried changing the auto-run features but still nothing.
It's only specific to windows explorer, i'm assuming, because ISObuster displays the correct listing of the contents.
Please let me know what I can do to fix this.

so i had some time to search around, found out it has something to do with "AutoInsert" which causes Windows Explorer to not refresh, said somewhere about a program blocking the default windows setting
therefore i opened all my burning related programs, and even those that i've uninstalled, and found out the Clone CD has the option to turn off "AutoInsert".
After I turned the setting back on thru Clone CD all my discs were being refreshed.
Good day for me...

more exactly, CloneCD has a checkbox to enable Auto Insert Notification.
do you mean that this box was unchecked, and your fix was to check it ?

That would be my assumption since I removed the checkmark since I thought it had something to do with CD/DVD autoplay.

Yes, more precisely, my fix is to "check" the box in CLoneCD related to "Auto Insert" option.
extremely simple fix, but this little thing drove me nuts...i had transferred all my files to another hard drive and prepared to do full reformat
