Hello,

What is the newest relese of this drive? Is it #03? Is it likely that further ones will be released? Is having relese 01 firmware 08 the same as having relese 03 firmware 08?

Thanx.

I'm pretty sure the latest hardware revision is #03, that's what I have. I'm getting another PX-716SA in the next couple weeks probably, so I'll check that one as well and will reply if it's different.

on a TLA#0306 the 03 is the hardware revision, and the 06 is the firmware revision. With firmware update, you can make it an 0308 (without the sticker though).

The one's at Best Buy around the time I got mine were 0307, not sure why your store had 0306 then. I guess they just like Minnesotan's better, :D

So if someone has a 0108 and a 0308 this means hardware revsion 01 and 03. ARe those revisions put in hardware also put in firmware? Would those two be the same?

I believe there is some sort of physical or technological (chipsets, etc.) change to a hardware revision, so no, they would not be the same.

P.S. This was my 4000th post.
