Hi guys just wondering if anyone had any suggestions or thoughts on the lifespan of data saved on a drag-to-disk formated single layered +R format DVD???

The lifespan shouldn't change from a regularily burned disc of the same type... but keep in mind that even a minor burn screw up could make it very hard to recover previous disc sessions (if you burn multiple sessions). It's a funny format for burning really... and not recommended for keeping important files simply because the format itself is not as stable as disc at once recording.

So if you were going to save date on DVD you would prefer to save it on Disk at once format?

Because the TOC (Table of Contents) isn't being appended due to mutliple burns. Like I said, one little problem, and previous sessions became very hard to recover.

I've actually had to attempt to reconstruct someone's drag-to-disc archives before... it was very much something I never want to do again.
