How can be done?

i tried to flash with a09 firmware but i couldn't

You HAVE to use DVRupdate. Download the A09 FW and extract it (i used winrar) to your hdd. Then put both A09 FW and A09 Kernal into DVRupdate, don't tick the box to FIX. Reboot when it tells you. And your done.

I always wonder: what is the real advantage to crossflash (transform) a Pioneer 109 into a A09 ?

I ripp with a simple reader such as a Toshiba SD-M1712, SD-M1802 or Lite-ON SOHD 16P9S
and BTW I save my burner ...

Maybe it also solves the 90 minutes issues.
I don't know if this counts for 109D and A09
But a06 and a07 seems to support overburning on 90 minutes disc while 106D and 107D doesn't seem to support.

I think that crossflashing a burner with DVRUpdate is very usefull in the case you
- have an OEM or rebadged "Pioneer" burner built in your computer
- and you need to use the firmware upgrades published by Pioneer

I have seen so many people stuck with a "pseudo Pioneer" burner in a Medion or Lifetec computer with no firmware upgrade available in order to burn a new MID code

But I dont know if DVRUpdate [or the former DVDRFlash for Pioneer 107 and 108] work for transforming them in a "real" Pioneer:
I mean with the aim to be able after that to flash the drive directly with the latest official firmware upgrade published by Pioneer when it comes out ...

The DVR-110D / DVR-R100 has an interesting kink in this area. It can burn up to 94:27 on an appropriate CDR, but it can't read past 94:00min

Does this page published by YSS mean that he had successs in crosfflashing a Pioneer DVR-110 D into a DVR-110 able to burn DVD-RAM ?
