I just finished ordering mine from newegg.com and expecting to get it either by tomorrow (Friday Aug 5, or Monday Aug

, I will install it and do some test and post the results and experience with the drive later.

I'm pretty sure Newegg doesn't have a price protection policy unlike many retailers, but if they give you a credit anyways, more power to you!

I still have it. There is nothing wrong with it. I just moved it to another computer that needed an optical drive.
