How is this result?

I just got my Taiyo Yuden DVD-Rs and BenQ 1640 drive today.. here is the result.. is this a bad batch? because the PI Failures sure seem high compared to other results...

Hello!

It´s a good result, but not good as I would expect from TYG02. Is it branded media?

The scans from Cdfreaks have mostly quality-scores from 97-99.

I don't put too much faith in the quality scores. One PIF spike can throw everything off.

If you look at the overall picture, Rfire's results are very good.

But I think a higher PIF-spike could make more problems than many low PIF-values?

The quality score is based solely on the maximum PIF value- I usually ignore it.

In this case, I'd be more worried about the cluster of PIFs around the max. at 2.2 GiB. The total count is also higher than I'd like to see.
