Why do you need 4x ?
Most of current media and drives seem to perform best between 8x-20x.

I don't understand why you're asking us this.... you already have stated the minimum burning speed is 8x... I don't think there is anyone on this forum who can tell you how to remake the drive so that it has slower buring speeds available.
