It's about time. I think Dolph has had his for more than a month.

cdfreaks reviewed it, the quality was truely terrible. Hopfully LiteON fixed it up a bit.

Guess I read the wrong review over there...

“Even though the reading and writing performance on CD-RWs is not “up to date” – the drive is still interesting - including the Bitsetting and quality scanning features.

All the Lite-On SHW-1635S written DVD media in this article achieved a quality score of 90 and above. ”

I don't care about rewritable.

I'm just waiting to make sure I use the right firmware for my testing... I don't see much point in reviewing drives so quickly that by the time people are using them the quality is 100% different.

Actually, the real reason is I've been very busy with other matters, and it's been pushing these kind of projects onto the side. I'm very sorry, but at the moment the best I can do is dedicate a little more of my sleep time into writing time (I can do ok on 5-6 hours of sleep instead of 7-8). All I can say in my defense is that when the review comes out, it will be the best anywhere with regard to testing media quality (not counting crazy european magazines!).
