Plextor PX-755A - 10x DVD+R DL!

Yet another 16x DVD±RW from Plextor. This one features 10x DVD+R DL writing speeds.

Just looks like a 760 with the SL speed "downclocked" to 16x.

Makes you wonder if the problems they're having right now is with the 18x writing speeds.

The specs you posted on the front page seem to be those of the PX-760 :o

Yeah, they are very similar. I did notice that they added a few writing speeds to the PX-755A. I'm not sure if they were missing from the PX-760A specs or what.

Living up to my custom title: :wink: heise has a short note on this. Apparently the 760 has been put on ice because the writing quality with "currently available media" doesn't meet expectations. The PX-755A, which will be available shortly, is essentially a throttled-down PX-760A.

Yep, I've heard the same thing. It's due to TY's 16x media sucking so badly.
