TAO- Track at Once - burn tracks separatly (Causes gaps between audio disc's)

The other 2 I don't know exactly.
DAO - Is Disc At Once.
RAW - Is a sector based format. (The best option for copy protected programs.)
I assume that RAW = DAO + subchannel data.
But I don't use alcohol so can anyone else confirm this.

For most stuff I would recommend DAO/RAW in most occasions.

Google "Session At Once". You'll find lots of info.

SAO = Session at once

I never use it (nor do I use Alcohol much anymore), so I can't say much else about it. I always use RAW or DAO.
