I've currently got an NEC ND 1300a, but I now want a faster driver, that also supports the widest range of formats. The drive i have now, oddly stopped supporting princos etc...
Although i only burn ritek g04 and verbatims, i'd like for my friends to be able to use my burner as well :P

Which one of these do you guys recommend?

NEC DVD±RW burner, ND-3550A, 16x, Dual, Black OEMhttp://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=314090&cks=PRL

-or-

NEC DVD±RW burner, ND-4551A, 16x, Dual, Ram, LabelFlash, Black OEMhttp://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=316170&cks=PRL

-or-

Plextor DVD±RW burner, PX-750A, 16x, Dual, RAM, Black Oem

or, any other ones...?

I'd like for the DVD-R to have a GOOD lazer (that can backup most dvds) and a good wide range of media support. Although I dont back up my games, it would be nice for it to support backing up for the newest security checks they have in games etc., if possible?

Thank you guys, and sorry for the troublesome questions, i'm just very fed up reading about all the burners getting excellent reviews... :\

Hello!

From this drives I would choose the NEC 4551

If you don´t need DVD-RAM, choose a Benq 1640 or 1650

I believe the Plextor is just a rebadge of something, possible benq. Plextor isn't what they used to be. I have the NEC 3550 and it works great.

The 750 is a Benq DQ 60-rebadge and not a great writer
