Is the BenQ 1625 as good at scanning discs as the 1620?

I love my 1620 & 1655, and don't really like putting so much wear and tear on them from the constant scanning. The 'egg has the 1625 back in, and I could slap it in an external USB case and only use it for Lightscribe and scanning - if it's as good as scanning as the 1620. I know the burn quality isn't great, but my other drives have great burn quality so I don't care about that...

The scanning hardware should be EXACTLY the same as the DW1620... but putting it in an external case may change the results. Unless the external case is capable of handling the sustained transfer rates needed for testing media (which is not a safe assumption!).
