on my new LG GSA-H10A, media is TDK 8x DVD+R MID YUDEN000-T02-000,
weird thing in CDSpeed Create Disc: i have two 8x speed selections (see pic)! however in Nero, ImgBurn only on 8x to select from the speed pull-down menu.
burned a disc in each one, no big difference between them.

checked DVD Identifier, i get 2 write descrtiptors for 8x speed.
is this normal? to have more than 1 speed dscriptor for the same speed?
also, what is this "Method 1 not supported" ???

I'm guessing one is for P-CAV and the other is Z-CLV. If I remember right, the drive uses Z-CLV with media rated at 8x. However, if you use media that would work at 12x or 16x but write at 8x, it uses P-CAV.
