I have a question about the audio volume for burned DVDs. First, some background.

I am using a Lite-on DVDRW SHW-160P6S burner to create DVDs. The software I use is Nero 7 Ultra Edition Burning ROM. I have an Asus P5LD2 Deluxe motherboard with RealTek HD Audio enabled. There are two small desktop speakers connected to the computer.

I am really happy with the video quality of the DVDs that I create, but the problem is with the sound. I have to have the slider for the sound shifted over to the extreme right in order to have the audio approach a normal level.

My hearing is fine, and I am not talking about having the speakers blasting away. The sound that comes out from the speakers that sit a little over one foot away from my head is barely acceptable for listening to.

Does anyone have any idea why the maximum volume is so low?

I'm really guessing here.
IIRC, there is no audio volume adjustment when burning out to DVDs.
If so, any adjustment must be made at the capture end when you are storing to hard drive.
