Somehow I missed the fact that Plextor released new firmware for the PX-760A and PX-755SA yesterday.

Plextor PX-760A 1.04 - http://www.plextor.com/english/support/ ... 0A_104.exe

Plextor PX-755SA 1.05 -
http://www.plextor.com/english/support/ ... 5A_105.exe

Change log for both:

Improved writing performance on DVD media
Improved writing performance on CD media
Improved the accuracy of the measurement of Q Check TA Test
Shortened the time needed to write DVD media simultaneously with
multiple drives

Has anyone tried them?

The discussion at cdfreaks says that you get large fluctuations in the buffer level when you burn with the firmware 1.04 on a PX-760,

Hi all ... it's been a long time.

I am looking at the Plextor PX-760A.

I have never owned a Plextor drive and figured I would like to try Plextools as well.

Besides Ian's review, I am looking for user feedback.

Thanks
