BenQ DW1655 Read disc comes out hot.

I was watching a video last night, when I stopped and ejected the disc I found the disc to be very warm. Not hot enough to burn my hand but very warm to the touch. I have never seen this before on any drive that I have owned, the DW1640 being the last.
I didn't see any problems on the disc, so I am wondering if "my" 1655 is abnormally hot or is the norm.
The side of my case is open, so there should be more than sufficient airflow.
Has anyone else noticed this?

It actually seems warmer than a freshly burned disc.

i've noticed discs coming warm out of the drive.
on my LG GSA-H10L, BenQ DW1620 and i think also my Toshiba SD-M1712 DVD-ROM.

my PC isn't very well ventilated i don't know if it's normal or not, i just assumed it's normal with every drive.

I noticed discs were quite warm coming out of my Pioneer DVR-110D! And that was when I was watching movies on it, and not even burning with it!

Quite possibly, my Pioneer is in a case that's a little tight, and probably isn't the best when it comes to air flow. My OTHER tower however could probably rival yours :P
