New drive time! Recommendations?

So, it's time for a new DVDRW. I've narrowed it down to the LG H10N, Asus 1608P3S (the DVR111 in disguise) and the Lite-On 165p6S.
What do you guys suggest? Media to be used will be :
1)Verbatim 8X +/-Rs for archival usage
2)MBI 16X +/-R discs for daily use.
3)Verb +R DLs for those special movies (2.4X rated).
CDRs will be burned on the good old 52327S. Testing of media will be done on my 832S..
I'm leaning toward the Asus.. what do you guys suggest? I'll crossflash it into the A11, so no issues there.

I like the LG but I don't like how infrequently they release firmware updates. The DRW-1608P3S has also impressed me too (review coming soon) and with all the hacks out there, its a good bang for your buck.

So that's the 111-based drive you've been testing? Cool.. will wait for the review. No love for the L-O?

The Pioneer DVR-111 clone would be my first suggestion, followed by the LiteON.

The Lite-On has its strengths... most notably its features. I still like the other two better though.

Does the DRW-1608P3S support writing DVD-RAM natively without flashing hacked firmware?
