I just bought my first DVD Writer which is a LG Electronics GSA H10N. I have no idea as to which DVD blanks to buy. Could someone tell which are the best ones for my DVD Writer?
I am referring to which: DVD -R/W; DVD +R/RW, and is there a brand that is better than some of the others? Thanks

hello tatala, welcome to CDRLabs. :D

Verbatim DVDs are generally considered as some of the best and they're readily available in many places both online and Brick&Mortar stores.

DVD+R or DVD-R: it doesn't really matter.

+/-RW are generally considered less reliable that +/-R.

With the Verbatim which do I get: 4X, 8X, or 16X for the LG GSA H10N?

Verbatim 16X DVD-R DataLifePlus Media Shiny Silver in Cake Box Spindle. Do I want the DataLifePlus?
If I take say 16X and put it in a 8x burner will it work?

are you by any chance rdoc ?

well, in any case, DrageMester has answered you questions there better than i could so i refer you to that thread.

your burner is a 16x burner, no 8x, by the way.

i would get DVD+R's for a few reasons - 1, Verbatim DVD+R's are generally better than DVD-R's, and 2, newer LG drives seem to have a preference for + media.
