I'm new here and I own the H22N that has stopped to recognize any CD-R.
Do you guys have any clue to investigate this weird behavior?
Some info from infopro and winxp:
Thanks.

hello core_reset, welcome to CDRLabs :)

better to have a separate thread about your drive problems, rather than intrude on an existing thread discussing something else.

thread split.

1. try ininstalling the drive in device manager and reboot, let windows redetect the drive.
2. check the master/slave jumpter settings.
3. check the IDE cable. try changing it.
4. check the drive in another system see if it works there.

it's possible that this is a hardware failuer and the CD capability of the drive is damaged. the drive might need repair. is it under warranty ?

does it recognize pressed CDs?

Sorry about my post in a wrong thread... and thanks for your job creating a new thread.
I have tested all you listed.
The driver does not recognize any type of CD (-R, +R, -R/W,...) and any pressed CD as well. I guess it has stopped working some days ago. I always used it before to burn all my CD/DVD discs.
Do you think a firmware update could fix it?
BTW, I have no problems with the DVD discs.

Regards.
