LG GxA-4164/4166 very short life

In Dec 2005, I bought a LG GSA-4166 in box for about 65 euros.
It was a brand new model, the first 16X doing LS and DVD-RAM.
One year after, most of the french users that follow me have broken LG 4166 drives, and mine is in pieces now too... #-o

By chance, I find one of the last Philips DVDR1668 (= rebadged BenQ 1655 that I will crossflash later). [-o<

The 4164/4166 weren´t good at all, maybe the worst writers from LG

Hope u have fun with ur new Benq ;)

Too bad they stop production of real Philips/BenQ drives.
It seems Liteon/DVD-RAM burners need time to get something as good... :roll:

How about a LiteOn DW-1650 for 29 Euros (no further information :roll: )
