Please help me decide. Don't care about ide or sata. Just want a burner that does good burns. Coming from a Benq 1620.

Thanks

I always have used Sony Products with great results. Tiger Direct has a good price on a retail DRU 830A comes with software..

The Philips drive is a rebadged Lite-On LH-20A1P. It's essentiall the same as the LH-20A1S, minus the SATA interface.

I haven't seen a BenQ manufactured I/O Magic drive in some time. You're probably best off going to the store and looking. Otherwise try CompUSA. They still might have some of the Norwood or CompUSA brand BenQ drives still.

Darn, no Staples or CompUSA in my neck of the woods. Just closed one up in Brookfield.

Good riddance.. I worked at the Brookfield store for a summer during college. Bunch of idiots running that place.

If it was me, I'd just order a Pioneer 112/212 or one of the newer LG drives from Newegg.

Just got the Lite-On LH-20A1S burns pretty good can't complain,
reads fast... all just subjective observations.

I don't know how to do any objective tests,
if someone can do a mini-guide on how to, i would..
