Lite-On Unveils Four New 20x Super AllWrite Drives

These four drives showed up on Lite-On IT's global website

DH-20A3L - Serial ATA and LightScribe

DH-20A3H - LightScribe

DH-20A3S - Serial ATA

DH-20A3P

These drives were supposed to support DVD-RW DL but it doesn't look like that make it into the feature list. Without it, they really don't offer much more than their current 20x drives.

According to the info I have, these drives use MediaTek's MT1859 chipset and Hitachi 353L OPU.

Yeah, DVD-RW DL support. I really don´t know whether any DVD-manufacturer work on this media

Some of Sony´s DVD-Recorders (not writers) support since a year DVD+RW DL, but nobody have seen this media :o

Newer Sony DVD-Recorders are build by Pioneer, no RW DL-support

This set of drives are now manufactured by the LiteON-Philips joint venture.

I kinda figured that since the naming scheme changed. I wonder what DH stands for.

Are they bringing back the Nexperia chips used in BenQ drives??? I saw the mediatek comment, but I hope Nexperia is still alive... It sucks BenQ is no longer around.

According to the info I have, the 3H and 4A series of drives will use MediaTek's MT1859 and MT1858 chipsets.
