That one. I'm not a big fan of the ASUS.

Watch out for firmware 1.21 on the Pioneer DVR-112, apparently it introduces some new CD-R burning bugs. Stick with 1.15 for the moment.

I've already got the lite-on in my case.I only need to buy the other 2.And what firmware does the Pioneer DVR112D originally come with?

It varies... newer drives will come with the newer 1.21 firmware, older ones will come with 1.15.

Your opinion on the Pioneer DVR-1810?Would it's firmware be newer?
I like the Pioneer DVR-710

But Pioneer is pretty good about firmware updates... If you get a drive with 1.21, a new one should be coming soon... Unlike LG, who instead of putting out a new firmware, just releases a new drive model. I feel like a broken record saying that... It frustrates me, but I keep buying LG drives, because they are just darn good DVD burners.

Any OEM models of the DVR-112 will suffer the same problems and have the same basic firmware revisions (although it might be 2.15 and 2.21 instead of 1.15 and 1.21).
