ok, im at work right now, samsung 183L for $44.39

or the ide gsa-h55l (sata) flavor LG burner for $52.92

those are my costs

or i can just buy the lg GSA-H62NK on newegg for $36.83 includes shipping

im not in a hurry because i already have another 183l attached

comparing all 3 models, what would everyone else go for?

i would prefer a SATA drive

or if anyone can recommend other SATA DVD burner, leave comment

I'm pretty happy with my three SATA burners... they include:

Plextor PX-755SA
LG GSA-H62N
Pioneer DVR-212D

The LG produces outstanding burns on Verbatim +R media... It's not so great at CD-R burning... The Pioneer and Plex do that well. Never owned a Samsung, but overall I like the quality of the burns from LG and Pioneer drives.

The Samsung SH-S203B seems fairly solid so far... it might be a decent choice. I would not recommend LG lately though, they have crap support unfortunately. Pioneer is a good choice, but stick with firmware 1.15 until a newer firmware then 1.21 is out.
