ASUS had the DRW-2014L1T at Computex but I haven't seen any specs until now. I really hope that they've fixed the problems that plagued their 16x and 18x DVD writers.

While I'm not unhappy with my 1814, I'm not happy enough to bother buying another ASUS drive. It's rather "mediocre" at everything.

Hopefully you can get your hands on one for a review, Ian.

Until I find a model of SATA DVD writer other than the Pioneer DVR-212D's I had that makes the grade here on CDRLabs, and that also has the features I want, I'm back with IDE optical drives.
