dvd burning is taking around 40 minutes please help

hiya im having problems burning dvds and data dvds they are taking ages around 40 minutes for both i never used to have this problem ive joined this site to see if ayone can help ive got it in dma mode im new to this so i dont really no what to do this is the log off nero please can someone let me know what the problem might be thanks in advance

hiya im trying to copy from my hard drive and from one drive to the other its a bit quicker if im copying it from one drive to the other but not very much quicker

Enable DMA for your harddisk. You find instructions in the FAQ thread.
As you already noticed, copying data from a source to a target drive connected to the same IDE bus is a very bad idea.
