Samsung drive seems to hate me

I have a Samsung SH-S202N drive purchased in november. At first the drive seemed to be working fine, but since installing the SB01 driver for it, the drive speeds have crashed. Where as before it took roughly 2-4 minutes to rip a CD to my hard drive, now it take 20-40 depending on the track lengths (dragonforce made my day terrible lol). Just reading a disk is painful if audio is on it because the drive slows it down so badly. Long story short, i need to know if anyone knows how to roll back the drivers for said drive (Samsung SH-S202N). Thank you very much if you can help

:(

While I don't think its the firmware, it may be worth a try flashing it back to the SB00 firmware.

Neither worked. I'm beginning to wonder if its possible at all to roll it back.

I can't remember if that's an IDE or SATA drive, but is DMA enabled? Have you tried uninstalling and redetecting the IDE controller that the drive is connected to?
