Vote for what you think is the best, all around DVD writer. By doing so, you'll hopefully help those looking to buy a new drive. Once again, I tried to chose original drive designs that are currently available or will be soon.

Feel free to leave comments and an explanation as to why you voted the way you did. Also, if there's a drive you'd like to see added to the poll, let me know.

I'm still waiting for a drive to beat the Samsungs. They aren't that good.

I thought there were more Lite-On fanboys out there. Maybe they all bought Samsungs?

Ok, Samsung is the cheapest brand in my country. And this could happen:

1. Non-PC-Specialists bought it because it´s cheap
2. Freaks bought it because same chipset as Lite-On

But tbh, Samsung optical drives aren´t very popular in Germany

People in the US buy it because its cheap, fast and works with a lot of media. When I visit Newegg's forums, I rarely, if ever, see any mention to writing quality. Kinda sad..

Money rules the world...

But like I said, samsung ODD are not popular in Germany. The Users of German´s biggest burner-community (http://www.bm-community.de/) recommend Samsung-drives very rarely. Pioneer, LG and Lite-On are much more recommended, sometimes Optiarc.
