I had finally decided on the Samsung SH-S203B after a lot a research. Then I realized that it is an internal... I need an external.

My needs include quiet, 99min burns, good quality burns on cd and dvd. Speed is not a real big concern. Quality is more. The 99min burn is a must. I can spend up to $200 but hope for less. I am not a computer geek.....more an audiophile.

You could get an external case for the SH-S203B. Otherwise Samsung sells the SE-S204N, which is an external DVD writer that is very similar to the SH-S203B.
