Plextor PX-880SA DVD Burner Review?

I've been gone way to long cdrlabs, I'm back at the moment because I'm building a all new system in October.

Since we last chatted I joined the United States Air Force. My first base is Eglin Air Force Base next to Pensacola FL. Which I move to October 20th

When I get there I'm building my new system and need to buy a dvd burner, any word on the newest plextor dvd burner? It looks like its made by plextor themselves, which hasn't happened in what 6 years or so.

Is the drive any good?

Hey hox. It's good to hear that you're doing well.

The PX-880SA is based on a Lite-On design. I can't remember which one though. iHAS324? iHAS424? Either way, its the same hardware. The new PlexUtilities is pretty nice but you can just buy a Lite-On and get the same functionality from the free tools.
