Lite-on IHAS424-08 - How can I burn DVD+R at 24X?

Hello All,

So I purchased this DVD burner and installed it. It's a SATA-type drive and I had no problems installing it. I burned a few DVD+R disks made by Taiyo Yuden (YUDEN000T03) and the best I can get is 20X. Nero's highest option is at 20X. Is there a way I can burn at 24X? I read some reviews where it stated 24X is possible.

My PC 3.4 Ghz Dell 2.75 G of memory

Thanks.

P.S. Can I buy 20X or 24X DVD+R media?

That's weird. YUDEN000T03 is one of the two types supported natively at 24x. What version of Nero are you using?

Try ImgBurn... but I gotta ask, why the need to write @ 24x? It's just marketing BS.

I've yet to find any media that burns at 24x on the 7240 either though I guess a couple can. I beleive the fastest burn I've gotten is sub 5 minutes at 20 or maybe it was 22.
Lets hope it doesn't suffer from the spikes of errors at the end like many of these super high speed burners seem to get.
