A couple of days ago we took a look at Lite-On's new set-top DVD player, the PhoMaster LVD-2001 DVD & Plus. The LVD-2001 impressed us with its ability to play back a number of audio and video formats, including MPEG4, MP3 and WMA.

The LVD-2001's big brother is the PhoMaster LVR-1001 DVD & Plus. The LVR-1001 has all of the features of the LVD-2001 and then some. The big difference here is that the LVR-1001 has a built in CD-RW drive. With this drive you can backup your CD's, or easily record video directly to SVCD or VCD.

I didn't write it, Boone did. No idea on when it will ship. Lite-On mentioned that it will have a suggested retail price of about $399.

Hi,
I was wondering if I can hook a headphone output from a microcassette player (via L & R cables) into an input for the cd-r on the lvr-1001

i'm trying to archive my microcassettes onto cd, and this seemed like a cheap way to go.

will i be able to mark tracks for the audio cd at all?
